Therapy services

At Pentland Field School therapy input and advice underpins and complements our curriculum, enabling pupils to access their education. Qualified therapists review pupils regularly to ensure every child gets access to the combination of therapy input that is right for them.

 

  • Arts Therapy

    Includes Drama Therapy, Music Therapy, and Art therapy. Supports pupil’s emotional development by building self-esteem, confidence and promoting communication.

  • Occupational Therapy (OT)

    Helps pupils become as independent as possible through activities and programmes that support daily living

  • Physiotherapy

    helps each pupil achieve their physical potential within the limitations of their medical condition

  • Speech and Language Therapy

    aims to support learners to work towards their communication potential, be better understood by those around them, and allows learners to begin to discover and enjoy the benefits of communicating their wants and needs

From the very start, at the initial meeting, I have been supported in home and school life.  They (the therapists) have really helped me to cope with my child and understand her language needs in a different way.  They even gave me homework to do with her, so that I can help develop her speech, language and communication just as they do at school.
