Post 16 Transitions
While it is presumed that most pupils will remain at Pentland Field for the 6th form education, other options might be explored.
Parents and pupils will be invited to Preparing for Adulthood and Post 16 Options informations sessions, and will be offered a 1:1 Independent Advice and Guidance session to explore options.
The pupils working levels and predicted pathway in Pentland Fields post 16 will be shared with parents and pupils so all viable options can be looked into.
Post 19 Transitions
From the beginning of the post 16 journey we plan for the positive outcomes linked to life after Pentland Field. We know this can be a challenging and daunting time for parents and aim to make this process and stress and worry free as possible.
Through a series of information sessions and meetings we plan collaboratively for the pupils next steps. This involves visiting post 19 sessions, attending careers fairs and exploring options with the Independent careers adviser and the Job Centres Schools and Colleges Adviser.
